The thing that I have found most common amongst mums is that you are usually always the one taking the photo and that you do not have a single photo of you and your child that you love. Well let me change that for you.
My Mother & Child shoots focus on the love between you and your little one. Encouraging you to slow down and simply be together so that I can capture the beautiful moments that you share.
These shoots are for a mother and one child. If you wish to capture you with more than one child then please book a family shoot.

Where do your Mother & Child shoots take place?
These shoots can take place at your home or a location of your choice in Edinburgh. It's great to choose somewhere that you enjoy spending time together - just to make your photos that little bit more meaningful for you to look back on. I am happy to chat through some suggestions if you are struggling to pick a location.
Can I include additional family members?
These shoots are a mum and one child only. If you wish to include additional children and/or family members then please book a family shoot.
What happens if it rains or we need to unexpectedly reschedule?
No problem - we do live in Scotland after all! The booking deposit is non-refundable for total cancellation but we can reschedule the shoot for another day if bad weather or ill-health are going to make things impossible.
I'm very self conscious in front of the camera, will your shoots work for me?
Absolutely. I honestly don't know a single person who likes having their photo taken and the majority of mums I have photographed have had this reservation going into their shoot.
The focus is on the love and connection you have with your child, not what you look like. Plus without the pressure to look at the camera and with lots of encouragement to engage with your child, you won't even notice having your photo taken.
When do your shoots take place?
The majority of shoots take place during the week as I have much wider availability.
A limited number of weekend slots are also available each month but as these tend to get booked up in advance, it can be trickier to book weekend dates in at the last minute. It's always worth asking though!
I offer a reduced rate on all sessions booked Monday - Thursday, details are listed in pricing above.
Can you photoshop me?
This is something I don't do, aside from moving the odd blemish. It wouldn't be true to my style of family photography if I did.
These photos are not about how you look, they are about captruing the beautiful bind betwenn you and your child.
When will I receive my images?
Your images will be ready to view online within two weeks of our session. They will be sent via email with a link to view your private online gallery where you can download your digital files instantly.
Can I print the images?
Yes! I give full personal printing rights to all of the photographs. You can also order professional prints through my online print store.
